Breaking News!!! Announcement Time!!!

Big news. We (Redhead and B.o.B.) mean like, huge. Gigantic. News. Bigger than the Boston Marathon big. One might even venture to say...JURASSIC!

We have started another blog. We know that you all, like us, already read 34,569,863,783 other blogs. What's one more right? This new blog will be a tad more risque and since it shows our real names, please don't stalk us. We both already have stalkers who don't appreciate newbies on their turf. You've been warned.

This new blog is through Creative Loafing and will be a joint effort on our parts. We may actually even get paid for it. Gasp! By paid, we mean like $5 a week. Maybe. (That should cover a Gu or two.) The more you click, the more chances we have of getting paid.* See that's where you come in.

Not only do you get more hilarious hijinks from B.o.B. and the Redhead, you also get a chance to help us pay our bills! Hooray! Hm. Not enough incentive to head over there? Fine. Be that way. Make us buy your love.

Today we are hosting our first GIVEAWAY! (Read: Bribe)***

All you need to do is head over to the new blog (scroll down for the first entry) and come back here and comment about it. That's it. Simple really. If you want to increase your chances leave us both a comment. One entry per person per blog comment.**

Oh, of course you want to know what your prize is. Since we have a mixed bag of readers we thought that someplace where you could not only purchase running stuff, books, shoes, magazines, hell you could even get yourself one of these, was the best way to go. So your prize is a $25 Gift Card from amazon.com.

Now get going.

Love,

B.o.B and the Redhead

*A commenter brought up a good point. Our personal blogs will still be updated more frequently. The Creative Loafing blog will be more of a weekly. No need to worry kittens.
**Drawing Sunday via random selection. Reveal Monday!
*** Giveaway is closed. 8/03/09

How fun! I really like the layout of your new blog; it seems clean and easy to read!
I'll definitely be reading, and oh, I hope I win that prize! :)

Having only half a blog myself I am always amazed when people have more than one! Looks great, and I look forward to reading more over there.

And I love the bribe idea! Bribes are awesome!

Great new blog! Degree in journalism... that explains your brilliant writing. It will be fun to read! And I hope I win!

Nice work going undercover. You should also look up beermile.com. All the rules, records, results can be found there. Basically you drink one beer in between every lap (4 total) and continue to run. I recently participated in one a month ago in Knoxville and won it in 6:07. Your post reminded me to email the organizer of the event to upload my top 50 worldwide performance. Have fun hashing!

love the new blog! I did my first hash run my freshman year of college--which was before I started "professionally" running and walked most of it but, it ended in a creek in the middle of IN where there was more Sharp than anyone could ever want!

I am so embarrassed to admit this, but I feel like the Daily Loaf means something, like it's some slang for something, and I just dont know what it is. when you have time will you tell me? lol. at least i have no dillusions of being cool.

Here is the same rant I just posted on your friend's blog!!!! LOL Yes, I copy and pasted it. But really I do wish you the best of luck in your writing and running endeavors!!!

"I am very excited to read about all of your exciting adventures!!! I have been a hasher since 2006, and have met some of the most amazing people. It really is a cross section of society, you never know who you will meet or, maybe fall in love with. And on the flipside, people who you can’t stand. LOL.

I know B.O.B. from the Brandon Running Group and from facebook. I am exciting to have her join me in the debauchery that we call hashing in Tampa. Redhead - I think you will enjoy all the hashing kennels in Orlando too! Check out the Mosquito County hash if you want some “shiggy*” trails that will leave you exhausted.

Again, best of luck ladies!!!!

*Shiggy – defined from a very reliable source, the URBAN DICTIONARY – “Off-road hashing (running) trail through muck, mud or other wet areas. Term derives from shigella/shigellosis - bacteria causing dysentery occurring most frequently in areas of poor sanitation such as pig sties and back-water swamp lands. Term first used by Brits & Aussies on Hash House Harrier runs (in Asia) in 1940's.”

I always say to my patients...we operate on bribes, and that's what life is about, finding what "bribes" you...what fuels and motivates you. Aren't profiles difficult to create? What do you say about you? There is so much more behind you ladies, your power, your heartbreaks, your secret successes...and yet, I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND! So fab-o, you too! Go!
And if you want some amazing meal, make sure to tell ME what nourishes you

Well, B.O.B.
you may (or may not) be suprised to find out that I have been a hasher for about six years and I even met my husband (Will) there! Yes, there is running for some ( I started out as a walker) and lots of BEER, and there may even be some body parts shown from time to time... It is TOTAL drunken debauchery by the end of the run (at least here in Tampa) but that's the fun of it, right?
So, if you are looking for a good time and cheap entertainment, then a hash is for YOU! Just bring an open mind and don't take yourself (or ANY one else for that matter) too seriously and you'll have a blast! Let me know when you plan to attend your Virgin trail and I'll make plans to be there!
Love the new blog!
