Isn't that special?

Today's 10 miler was a mix up of sorts. Meaning, that instead of me running with P-Funk and Hollster running with Red, it was just me and Hollster out there. Unless of course you count Walter, but he was pretty far in front of us. Show off. We had a good run and as per usual, Hollster told awesome stories. Love her!

I'm getting super duper excited. (Yeah, I said super duper. Don't judge.) I'm going to head over to either Dick's or Sports Authority to find something new to wear. I don't usually do this for races, but Red has inspired me. It's very odd because in my every day life I buy new clothes all the damn time. I just don't often think about my running attire. As long as it doesn't chaffe and has lots of wicking, it's ok by me. But, I think Gasparilla needs something special.

So remember how I was all excited about my Season's 52 meal? Well how about this happy pappy? It's full. Completely booked. On a Sunday. What the crap? Oy. Now I must think of another delicious place to go. Any suggestions? Anyone even read this dribble on Saturday?

Crickets.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I know I am! Word to your mother.

I love having outfits planned for races. I have had my outfit sitting on my dresser for tomorrow's 10k for a week now.

On Friday at lunch with colleagues, someone mentioned the Season52 in our town. Having read your post previously, I astounded her with my knowledge of the place. She was so impressed! Thanks BoB!

I think you need a spunky running skirt.

I'm vegging and reading blogs this afternoon - nothing more mindless :). I love to buy something new before a big race because I'm so freaking superstitious and if I had a "bad" run in something, I can't wear it in a race because it's jinxed and if I had a "good" race in an outfit, then if I wore it again and then had a bad race, then the outfit wouldn't have the same special meaning to me it did for the good race. Yep, I'm all screwed up in the head .. but it does allow me to get something new to run in :). Have a blast finding the right thing!!

Whatever you buy/bought, try it a few times before race day. Standard advice.

No suggestions on another restaurant. But then again, I am reading this on a Saturday night. What a winner I am!!

A new outfit for a race sounds like a great idea!

Listen to Coach EK - you better wear that outfit once on a run before Sunday.

Melting Pot!

well I only ran ahead because there is so much listening to Cosmopolitan Radio I can handle at 630 in the morning. And why limit yourself to Dicks or Sports Authority. I hear VS has a great line of athletic wear. I only hear it...just saying.
